Adoption Evaluation

L. Rashel Consultation is a Texas court-approved organization authorized to conduct pre- and post-placement adoption evaluations and consultations for families seeking adoption.  With over 22 years of experience in the social service and education fields, the safety and well-being of children have been and continue to be the driving force behind the work.  All children deserve to be cared for, happy, healthy, loved, and whole.

What should you expect when engaging in the adoption process?

1. Your legal representative will represent you in court, and an evaluator will be assigned to conduct your Adoption Evaluation. Additionally, there may be instances where your attorney suggests a specific evaluator for you to contact, as they prefer working with that evaluator.

2. The evaluator will provide you with a list of documents required by the Family Court for your adoption process, including a consent form.  Instructions on how to proceed with fingerprinting, which should be arranged promptly will also be provided.  (Document links provided on page 2)

4. Arrangements to conduct the interviews, either in-person or via Zoom, will be provided to you by the Evaluator. It is necessary for every resident of the household, including both full-time and part-time residents, to be present, regardless of age, during these visits.

5. It's important to complete certain tasks before the home visit and during the waiting period. The adoption evaluator will provide you with a list of required items. If you haven't received it, refer to the list below.

6. Home Visit/Zoom Visit/Interviews Conducted

7. The adoption evaluator will draft the report and send it to the Attorney for review to ensure accuracy in names, dates, and events. Any necessary corrections will be made to rectify any errors detected.

8. Once the adoption evaluator confirms that all required documents have been received and that the report is accurate, they will submit the report to both the court and the attorney listed on the record.

9. Your attorney will schedule a court date to finalize the adoption.

Service Fees

Evaluation services begin at USD $750.00.  All service fees and evaluation expenses (i.e. fingerprinting, background checks, etc) are the responsibility of the client and must be paid in full before the evaluation report is provided to the court.  Questions concerning payment methods should be directed to Consult@LRashelEnterprises.com
